stag weekend quad biking
Quad bike trekking is a superb stag weekend activity for you and the boys. You’ll “saddle up” and take on some of the trickiest, dirtiest and most demanding public access terrain in the country, whether that county is England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland or any other part of Europe! So that means plenty of fun, plenty of laughs, plenty of fresh air and the feeling of real power between your legs!
| format: |
introduction and safety briefing followed by kitting up and then taking to the course, you may need to complete a beginner’s circuit first where your skills and safety can be assessed. Thereafter you’re off on one of the best quad bike experiences you’ll ever go on! With StagWeb’s programmes it’s one quad per rider so there are no “blame” excuses for poncey driving. |
| equipment: |
the quads themselves will vary from 100-250cc beasts, typically though you are likely to be on a high brand 125cc quad bike. Helmets will be provided, in most cases overalls and gloves will also be available, however our sites vary so if in doubt please check in advance. |
| duration: |
allow a morning or afternoon session – in some cases you can easily combine quad bike trekking with another activity in a single am or pm session, please let us know. Timings will vary with group size and preferred location. |
| availability: |
7 days per week. |
| seasonal: |
no, quad biking is available throughout the year, often it’s better out of summer so you get plenty of filthy action. |
|
|
| clothing: |
this is potentially one of the dirtiest activities you will do, plenty of mud, dirt, slush and dust depending on the time of year! And while in most cases you’ll get overalls don’t rely on them to be perfect. In other words dress appropriately, and wear trainers or light boots for footwear. Always check the weather forecast, take a towel if it’s likely to be cats and dogs. Also take some gloves if it’s going to be cold because nimble fingers are important. |
| experience: |
none required. |
| combine: |
plenty of easily available activities eg pilots, clay shooting, go-karting, paintball, off road karts, 4x4, archery |
| group size: |
6+ |
| comment: |
quad bike trekking is a monster activity, in terms of value and a collective group event it’s up there with the very best stag weekend activities. It’s highly recommended and often one of the most “awesome” enjoyable you can participate in, our recommendation would be to combine it, either side of a break for lunch or a mid-session snack, with a physically different but complementary activity such as clay shooting or paintball. |
quad biking info ...
Trekking may suggest that you’re playing it safe but the days of quad racing have just about finished, accidents such as Ozzy Osbourne’s famous smash (collar bone, 8 ribs, damage to vertebra, 2 cocktail glasses and a pill box) has meant over recent years quad bike insurance has made like a GM beanstalk and hit the roof! Subsequently we’ve looked for the greatest, but safest ways for you and the boys to get the most out of a legendary stag weekend activity, quad bike trekking is one of those ways … and you’ll love it. Quad racing time trials is another but that’s a different activity completely.
Depending on where you want to go we’ll build your quad bike trek accordingly, one of the most important factors is group size. Now we can supply as many quad biked as anybody in Europe but the actual running of the event will depend on your group size – at all times we ensure that we are able to run the optimum event for you! For example say your group size is 12, you’ll be allocated 1-2 instructors who will lead you through a challenging trek, you’ll follow single file and take on each potentially hilarious and nerve racking challenge one by one; all the time encouraged by the instructor and potentially ridiculed by your group! At the end of several miles hard yakka you’ll feel you’ve really had a good activity workout, oh and you may walk like John Wayne for a while!
Quad bike trekking is undoubtedly one of the leading group events because you get a really demanding group experience, it’s great for bonding – which is ideal for a fun focused stag weekend.
