zap cats newquay STAG DO INTRO
as far as high action, butt clenching, adrenalin pumping, knock your socks off extreme activities go, zap cats will not beaten, not now, not ever!!! The zap cat itself is a small catamaran surf racing boat with a huge engine. These things can reach 50mph, pull up to 3G in a turn and have a power-to-weight ratio of 384bhp/tonne – more than many Ferraris! Put behind the wheel an experienced driver and you have the recipe for a thrill that will be unsurpassed by anything else you’ll find on British waters!
format
on arrival you will be fitted out with your wet-suit and safety equipment before making your way down to the high speed RIB on the harbours edge for a quick safety briefing. You are then taken individually out on the water by some of the most surf-savvy pilots in the country, so it’s guaranteed to be extreme but safe. If the surf is up you’ll be pulling 270’s on the wave face, off-the-lips and bottom turns, not to mention the incredible ‘flight of the cat’ where the whole boat flies off the top of the wave! On flat sea days the experience is based around high-speed runs, 180° turns and time-trials, or races if more than one boat is in use. You just need to make sure you hang on and enjoy the ultimate white knuckle ride.
duration
your Newquay zap cat experience will last for 3-4 hours dependant on group size. If you think it might be funny to get the boys out of bed on to the water early after a Saturday night, Sunday morning sessions can be arranged to really blow away any hangovers, just hold onto your stomachs!
equipment
our Newquay zap cat day is a once in a lifetime, extreme experience and the ultimate activity choice for a stag weekend - which is why we have made sure you’ll be issued with first class equipment during your session. Your equipment will include a full body, top of the range wet suit, safety helmet and safety jacket.
clothing
you will need to bring your swimming gear and an old T-shirt, if you have your own wetsuit – bring it as it will fit better than ours! You could do with some trainer type shoes for in the boat – they will get wet as will you so please remember to bring a change of clothes and towel. If it’s winter be sure to bring a warm top or hoodie as it’s going to be nippy when you first come off the water!
availability
one of the greatest things about zap cats is that they can run in all conditions 12 months of the year, rain or shine, sleet, hail or snow. It’s the ultimate adrenaline pumping action!

"Everything agreed was delivered and it was peace of mind that we didn’t have to worry about anything. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves. Cheers guys!" Hiten Daji
"We had a great time and all the arrangements went perfectly - even down to transport arriving to the minute! This is the second StagWeb organised trip I have been on and I can’t understand why anyone would do it without turning to them first!" Graeme Leonard
