After arriving at S.W.A.T HQ you will be introduced to your instructors who will be taking you through your training! Tea, Coffee and soft drinks are provided whilst you receive your briefing from the Team Leader. Toilets and changing facilities are provided along with all the necessary clothing and equipment for taking part in the activities.
The Stag Rescue event will begin with receiving your briefing that a hostage has been taken by a group of radical terrorists. Communication has broken down and you and your team have been given the “GREEN” light to carry out a rescue.
You’ll need to learn about weapons and tactics and how to execute a successful assault. Working as a 4/5 man assault team you’ll need to blow the door and then eliminate any threat. Once in the building you must work fast to find the hostage and secure their safe release. The assault is recorded on CCTV cameras and head cams which we then edit and send you a copy after the event free of charge.
The event lasts for 3 hours and lunch can be provided prior to, or after the event at an additional cost.
training
after being issued with assault vests, drop leg holsters, helmets and weapons you’ll then need to be trained! assault rifle (airsoft machine guns)
you’ll be taught how to hold and fire a machine gun and make sure you can hit the target! Do you go for single shot, double tap or full auto! You’ll learn room clearance drills so you know which area to cover and which way to shoot. Accuracy is important when firing in a confined space and hitting the terrorist not the hostage! Working as a 4/5 man assault team you’ll learn contact drills and fire and manoeuvre as well as tactics.
pistol shooting (airsoft)
you’ll also need to know how to fire a pistol as well as a machine gun. It’s a lighter, less accurate weapon but ideal as a back up. You’ll use replica pistols to test your skills with different stances and contact drills with a pistol from all sides. You’ll learn how to draw the pistol quickly from your drop leg holster if your assault rifle jams. Using high velocity spring loaded BB pistols you’ll be tested on speed and accuracy.
sniper shoot
if you’re looking to take out a target at distance then you’ll need a sniper weapon. Using our high powered telescopic air rifles you can hit the target at various distances. Full tuition is given by ex-military instructors. A variety of different shooting challenges are set whilst you compete against your team mates. You will be taught the principles of marksmanship and how to hold the weapon steady and control your breathing. Whether you’re firing lying down, kneeling, supported or unsupported or maybe firing at a moving target.
unarmed combat
any assault team member needs to know various take down techniques and how to deal with a terrorist armed with a gun or a knife when you only have your bare hands. You’ll also be shown how to improvise with objects such as a newspaper, magazine or pen which can be used to attack or defend. How to block a knife attack and also how to escape if you’re tied with plasticuffs or your hands and feet are bound with tape.
laser combat
to get the adrenalin pumping before the assault you’ll take part in laser combat using our high-tech laser pulse ranger weapons. There’s machine gun fire and grenade launcher when you need to take out a whole group! These weapons are great fun and accurate up to 100 metres and you don’t get covered in bruises! The weapons have a digital display so you can see how many shots, grenades and lives you have left.
planning phase
planning and rehearsing is the key to any successful rescue. Taking control of the room and knowing exactly what to do is important when carrying out the assault. You’ll only have a short time period to organise the assault team but it’s important everyone knows their role and what to do. You’ll be shown plans and photos of the building along with any recent intelligence such as satellite images.
rescue
the assault
when you’re in position and laid the charges it’ll be Standby. Storming through the entrances you must quickly and effectively eliminate enemy terrorists and find the hostage.
There’ll be plenty of noise with loud bangs and smoke to see how you cope and possibly a few surprises! You’ll be driven by vehicle to the assault location and then taken into position by our instructors. They will be with you throughout to guide you through and make sure everything goes smoothly! The assault will take no more than 2 mins max as you want to get in, get the hostage and get out.
They’ll be plenty of opportunity for pictures so remember your camera.
