StagWeb’s Slovenian skiing and snowboarding weekends give you a choice of beautiful winter breaks in either Ljubljana or Maribor / Pohorje. Both destinations are fantastic for groups of Alpine Adventurers, the better skiing or snowboarding is probably the Maribor / Pohorje region while Ljubljana has more to offer in terms of nightlife and entertainment.
In both cases you can either stay in the cities or on the slopes, you could even combine a bit of both. Just decide if the priority is piste or pints! That’s not to say you can’t enjoy some lively après ski at the resorts.

 Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and a stunning city, it’s great for entertainment. The slopes of well known Krvavec are 40 minutes away and transfers are easily arranged.  Just like Ljubljana, Maribor is a short distance from the piste – approximately 30 minutes, so you can base yourselves in Slovenia’s second city and home of the oldest vine in the world, or stay in Pohorje itself in our awesome alpine apartments and après ski for easy piste action and the main focus of skiing or snow boarding. We can also arrange skiing and snowboarding weekends in Kranjska Gora by prior arrangement, this is about 2.5 hours transfer Ljubljana and you should think about a 4 day break to get the best of it.

getting to the region
The flight schedule to Ljubljana is understandably the best in the country, served by easyjet and Adria Airways, this might give you the best flexibility. Slovenia is a reasonably small country so not much is more than 2-3 hours away so flying to Ljubljana is always an option.
