Groom almost misses his own wedding!

A groom-to-be, Mark Lindsay almost changed tradition, by turning up late to walk down the aisle, rather than his beloved bride.

Instead, he was pacing up and down in front of his television as he anxiously watched his beloved Stags compete in the nail-biter Ranfurly Shield game. The New Zealand Rugby game finished at 4.15pm but he was supposed to be marrying his bride-to-be at 5pm and needed to travel a fair way to the venue. Ten minutes before the end of the game, his father turned the TV off but just as a late kick put the Stags in the lead. Mark then quickly went upstairs to catch the rest of the game in hope to see his team secure the shield.

Luckily his taxi driver managed to get the groom to the wedding ceremony just in time, to avoid sparks flying before the marriage had even started.

The West is Best! Bristol stag weekends

As a top 5 UK stag destination, a Bristol stag do is pretty much a no-brainer. More than just a giant cider spring (although we consider that a major perk); Bristol offers a great variety of quality activity options that will ensure an action-packed weekend… oh and the nightlife’s not bad either!

From RAGE buggies and hovercrafts to mini racing, or a frenzied afternoon’s paintballing; whichever combination you choose, a weekend in Bristol is sure to leave you basking in the admiration of your fellow stags before long.

The city’s main activity sites are conveniently located, just 20 – 30 minutes away from the centre of town, which means less money wasted on petrol and more left for the Bierkeller, which is frankly the way it should be.

Over the last few years, Bristol has gained a reputation for offering some of the best nightlife in the country, and rightly so. From a sneaky pre-nuptial lap dance to a private booze cruise or a comedy show, a Bristol stag weekend offers plenty of inspired options to keep the group entertained.

At weekends, the streets and bars around the harbour-side overflow with friendly cider-quaffing locals, and with plenty of central accommodation options, you and the boys will be ideally placed to take advantage of the city’s excellent supply of lively stag-friendly bars, clubs and also home to the popular Hooters restaurant!

Kim Kardashian gate-crashes fiance’s stag night

US television personality Kim Kardashian on Saturday gate-crashed her husband-to-be, Kris Humphries’s stag night in Hollywood.

Celebrities arrived at the launch of new Hollywood nightclub Noon By Noon to celebrate the shocked Kris on last night of freedom.

The reality star had also been celebrating her own hen night at Las Vegas nightclub Tao with sisters Khloe and Kourtney, mum Kris Jenner and 17 other friends.

According to People magazine, Kris had been downing shots and singing along to the DJ when his fiancee, Kim surprised him at 2am. Clearly not put out by her arrival, he bent down to kiss her before picking her up to play tonsil tennis with her in full view of the guests.

After about 10 minutes, Kim, 30, headed back to her own hen party which came complete with a cake shaped like a certain male body part and a miniature male stripper.

“… My sisters are doing everything they can to embarrass me,” she told her guests.

It’s usually against the stag rules for the fiance to participate in the stag do, but as it’s the beautiful Kim Kardashian I think we’ll let her off!

Groom-to-be gets pranked by his workmates!

Shoppers in Dumbarton saw more than they bargained for in the town centre last Thursday. Graham Murdoch, a groom-to-be was tied to a lamppost naked in the middle of the day by his fellow work mates.

It was his last day at work as a single man, so the pranksters felt that it was only right that something was done. They covered him in treacle, red paint and sawdust along with other things and left him outside Greggs Bakery completely bare.

Then to top it all off, at 1pm Graham’s workmates took him to the High Street to guarantee the highest amount of embarrassment possible. To make matters worse, his bride-to-be happened to stumble across him whilst stripped and tied up, mortified by what she had just witnessed.

Maybe not the greatest idea to follow, but stag pranks can help you with some great ideas!

Runaway bride! Baseball, as you’ve never seen it before

On Saturday evening, a US baseball game between the Nationals and Braves came to a sudden halt due to a man running onto the field. However, rather than the usual streaking fans that will often occur at baseball games, this fan was in a full wedding gown!

The man managed to reach the right centre of the field before a mass of security guards tackled him and escorted him off the pitch. Everyone was astonished, Davey Johnson in particular felt rather amused by the event. He commented “I thought that only happened in New York, I was just wondering was he getting married?”

Not a great idea as you’re mostly likely to get banned from the stadium, but perhaps an idea for your stag do fancy dress?

See the video of the Runaway bride below.
