Scotland rugby team mistaken for stag party while awaiting flight to Australia

The Scotland rugby team while awaiting their flight to Australia were thought to be on their way to a stag do by a Scottish family this weekend.

The 30 rugby stars were preparing to fly from Glasgow Airport to Australia for their final training before a New Zealand tournament.

There were roars of laughter in the departure lounge when the Scottish family approached Scotland’s top player of all time, Chris Paterson. They’d asked if he and his mates were on their way to a stag weekend.

Scotland’s Rory Lawson commented about it after on his Twitter page:

Fake breast goes bust on paintballing session

A 26 year old woman from London had quite a shock to her chest whilst paintballing. She was hit at close range in her upper region which resulted in her breast implant rupturing.

The young lady is now recovering at home after the incident which is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK.

The company which runs the site announced that they are now using extra padding in the chest area for women to ensure no other breasts bust from the activity.

A member from the venue stated that “we want as many people to enjoy paintball as possible regardless of whether their breasts are fake or real” so will now ensure that extra support is provided to the chest area.

The site also mentioned this is the first time something like this has happened and is very unusual. Part of the fun of paintballing is it does leave a little nip when you get hit, regardless of this, paintball is still a very safe activity provided you stick to the paintball sites rules and wearing all the right protective gear.

StagWeb destination account manager interview

I’m Jamie, StagWeb’s account manager for some of our top destinations including UK favourites such as Birmingham, Cambridge, Exeter, Harrogate, Leeds, Newquay, Nottingham and York and some of Europe’s best in Lisbon, La Manga, Amsterdam and Budapest.

What’s your favourite stag destination?

My favourite destination is always a tough one to call; covering so many brilliant stag weekend locations it’s always hard to choose just one. In the UK Birmingham is always hard to beat, it has fantastic nightlife and some of the best, most unique activities such as Extreme Dodgems and Tank Driving. It’s also superb value and being slap bang in the middle of the country its easy access for everyone. Abroad there’s no beating Budapest! It never fails to please and offers unbeatable value for money for a European stag do.

What’s your favourite stag activity?

My favourite activity depends on the season. I love to be active so water sports such as coasteering and surfing in Newquay are always high on my list and make for a brilliant summer stag do. In the British winter they’re not so enjoyable so being a sport-ahollic I can think of no better way to spend to a stag weekend than watching premier league football from a plush hospitality box, and where better to do that than Birmingham. Our new Baggies Belter package is ideal for any football loving stag groups.

What’s your favourite nightlife entertainment?

It has to be a good European Stag bar crawl, there’s no better way to get acquainted with the city and get your European stag weekend off to a flying start, and if the tour finishes up in a club or two all the better.

What would you recommend to clients?

My tip for booking is simple, book early, avoid disappointment!

Here’s a recent testimonial sent to Jamie

“… Thank you for your assistance in helping me organise our trip to Newquay. Your flyer was right – it was certainly a memorable weekend for all! Activities were great and we would recommend StagWeb to anybody else.” Ed Gardner, Newquay stag weekend 11/06/2011

StagWeb account manager interview 2

Written by StagWeb account manager – Samuel Elkins

My name is Samuel Elkins and I’m an account manager at StagWeb. I specialize in golf packages throughout the UK and Europe sending groups to a number of top quality courses.

What’s your favourite stag destination?

My favorite destination in the UK for a golf stag weekend is Edinburgh; it has simply beautiful golf courses, with stunning views for fantastic value. Edinburgh offers great options for your golf stag weekend with a wide selection of accommodation from 4 Star hotels right the way through to apartments and hostels.

Golf is such a great activity for the whole group to participate in whilst on your stag do. It brings everyone together, all abilities can participate and it’s the perfect start or end to the weekend.

Edinburgh’s nightlife is some of the best in the UK, with 100s of vibrant bars, pubs & clubs and offers the perfect start to your stag weekend, Edinburgh’s music scene caters for all age ranges and music tastes.

What would you recommend to stag groups?

I would always recommend booking up early to make sure you receive the exact times preferred for the group’s activities. Also having a good early plan gives you enough time to manage the rest of the guys!

Here’s some of our latest great feedback!

StagWeb – they make it happen. This was my first time organising a stag weekend and I wasn’t sure how to go about it. Then I found StagWeb online and told them what we wanted. Our account manager was fantastic. They sorted all the activities and accommodation, which gave me the time to get all the guys organised. The weekend couldn’t have gone better; the 10 of us had a fantastic time, all down to StagWeb’s professionalism and ability to get the job done. I would not hesitate to recommend/using StagWeb again. Thank you so much!

StagWeb account manager interview

My name is Steve and I’ve been working here at StagWeb for over 5 years and would like to think there’s nothing about stag parties that I don’t know. I look after some of our top destinations in the UK and Europe including, Bournemouth, Manchester, Edinburgh, Ireland, and Prague.

What’s your favourite stag destination?

Without doubt my favourite stag destination has to be Prague. I’ve visited all the destinations I cover and Prague really does take some beating. Prague is a city that’s alive 24 hours a day, weather you are participating in some of the great activities we offer, taking in the sites, or just enjoying the array of nightlife options, you will never be disappointed on a Prague Stag weekend.

What’s your favourite stag activity?

My favourite stag activity would have to be White Water Rafting. I believe the more adrenalin fuelled the activity the better, go-karting and quad biking are fine but there is very little group interaction once you’re under way. Rafting allows 8 people to a raft, so whether you are working together to navigate the gates or just trying to stitch up the stag it always results in great fun and banter.

What’s your favourite nightlife entertainment?

My favourite evening option like my favourite activity is based on group interaction. You will always have the usual lap dancing and night clubs which is part and parcel of any stag weekend, however I feel a night at the dogs is a stag banker. If you’re on a 2 night weekend it’s a great option for the Friday night, especially if like most stag groups you have some guys in the group who have never met. It’s a great value ice breaker.

What would you recommend to stag groups?

With all my groups I always recommend booking as early as possible, it really is never too early to secure your weekend, the benefits of booking early far out way the negatives. You will always get the best accommodation options, best activity timings, best prices, and most importantly by giving the boys as much notice as possible you will always get more people attending. As a best man there’s nothing worse than telling the stag you only have 4 lads attending his big weekend because you left things to the last minute.

Here’s some of our latest great feedback!

“I personally felt apart from being at the weekend with us our events organiser covered everything. He was more than helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble … If you are booking a stag weekend than look no further than StagWeb. Great service, very thorough in all aspects, everything ran like clockwork. Thanks”

Groom surprises his girlfriend by organising wedding

A Canadian groom married his girlfriend only a few hours after proposing to her. Shawn Lippert surprised his partner Colleen Freker by proposing at a beach side restaurant and then marrying her that same night in front of all their family and friends.

Although traditionally the bride-to-be will plan the wedding, Shawn had arranged everything that she would have wanted for her day, from the dress to the wedding song. He had spent a year planning the surprise event by discreetly asking her questions about her dream wedding.

He stated “I just knew in my gut this is exactly what she wanted.”

He even managed to keep his girlfriend off the scent by telling her that he wanted to marry her in Las Vagas in September. Whoever said romance was dead?
