To many people, stag parties come second only to the actual wedding in terms of importance. As the years have gone by, these occasions have developed to much more than just a night in a few local pubs. These days, soon-to-be grooms are being rushed up and down the country in their personalised t-shirts to make sure they celebrate their upcoming special day in style. These events are fun for all and the options are endless for those in charge of organising them, so here are a few suggestions to help you plan the perfect stag do.
Firstly, the location must be decided. Everyone knows the UK is full of potential stag party destinations, and every city has its own perks. London speaks for itself – as you’d expect any capital city to do. With tourist destinations and bars left, right and centre, you’d be more suited to a stag weekend rather than a night there as 24 hours simply isn’t going to be enough.
If culture is your thing then look no further than the former European Capital of Culture – Liverpool. Steeped in history as the hometown of The Beatles, and home to two Premiership football clubs, Liverpool is an ideal destination for a stag do. Spend the day doing activities such as clay shooting, quad biking or even an Anfield Tour and then spend the night in some of Liverpool’s best bars on Concert Square or Matthew Street and you won’t be disappointed.
Of course, the majority of UK cities will offer more than enough options in terms of nightlife as well as some nice places to see and things to do during the day. Cities such as Birmingham, Newcastle and Manchester will all make sure that you have a night to remember.
Once you’ve decided on your destination, the next thing to take into account what you actually want to do. The inevitable event is a big night out, but instead of an all-day session; why not take part in some other activities as well? One popular and affordable choice is to go go-karting. Do you fancy yourself as the next Sebastian Vettel or Jenson Button? Why not prove it on the track with the lads?
Another (more painful) option is to go paintballing. This will give you an opportunity to put those hours wasted away on Call of Duty to the test in a real-life setting.
There’s simply an enormous amount of activities you can take part in over the stag weekend, and if you’re finding it hard to decide just give us a call to discuss any options, we’re always happy to help!
