Stag weekend trends in 2011
As we continue the Christmas countdown and begin to prepare for the New Year ahead, it’s a good time to reflect on the past twelve months here at StagWeb.
It’s no surprise that the economic downturn has begun to have a noticeable impact on spending patterns across the stag and hen industry, and although business continues to thrive, it’s clear that strict budgeting is now a top priority for our groups. We’ve seen an increase in the number of enquiries for weekends between £100-£150 (in particular our budget set packages) and 1 night stays are now taking precedence over full weekend breaks in an effort to reduce costs.
At the other end of the spectrum, we’ve seen a considerable shift away from the old stag do staples of go-karting and paintballing to requests for more extreme activities such as rage buggies, tank driving and stock car racing; ironically some of the most expensive activities on the market. It’s a clear indication that client expectations have changed and that stag weekend organisers are now demanding more for their money than ever before. In line with this, the StagWeb team have stepped up to the mark and with a recent website re-launch are ready to meet the year ahead with all the zeal and enthusiasm that they’ve shown for the past decade.
“It’s been a really good year”, says Poppy Ratcliffe, Account Manager at StagWeb, “and we fully intend to continue this success into 2012 by maintaining our commitment to providing an outstanding service to our clients.”
