What’s going on in Blackpool this summer : July and August 2012
With the summer approaching, Blackpool is the place to be. The seaside town is regarded as the UK’s answer to Las Vegas and is renowned as the king of weekends away. If you and the boys are looking for a weekend away for a jolly boys outing then head to Blackpool for an unforgettable experience.

Free Airshow – On the 12th August, the skies over Blackpool will be lit up with up top air display teams. There will be a great selection of aircraft new and old, like Spitfires & Dakota to the mighty double propeller Chinook Helicopter plus many display teams doing death defying stunts.
World Firework Championships – On the weekends of the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th August the promenade will be lit up with colour as the town hosts the World Firework Championship.
Blackpool’s Illumination’s – One thing in keep with tradition is the famous Blackpool Illuminations along the promenade. The town turns on its famous lights on the 31st August.
Golf – If you’re not aware,Blackpool is located near some very well known golf courses that play host to the famous golfing tournament The Open Championship. These courses include Royal Lytham & St Annes and Royal Birkdale which are one of the best links courses in the world. If you’re heading on a Blackpool stag do, then why not consider a round with the boys.
Horse Racing – Another great way to spend a day out with the boys on a stag do is a day out at the races.Blackpool is situated not too far from 2 top racecourses – Aintree and Haydock. These two racecourses offer top jump racing and attracts the best horses from around the world. If you fancy a flutter and a great day with the boys, then a day at the races is ideal for you.
