Why you should consider a Birmingham stag do
An account manager of StagWeb recently visited Birmingham with friends to see the delights of what Birmingham had to offer and he wasn’t disappointed. Just a short hop up the M5 and he had arrived at England’s No2 city. The city didn’t disappoint as it pretty much offers everything linked to a good weekend.
To kick start the activities Jamie and his mates took part in our Tank Battle experience, which is the closest thing you’ll get to being in the Army. Tank Battles combine tank driving with paintballing to give you the ultimate safe warfare combat. Each tank includes 3 members of your stag do where one will drive, one will line up and one will fire but of course you will all switch positions. Each group takes their tanks to 6 check points where they will get to open fire against opposing tanks. But don’t worry, they’re not real missiles, they are specially made paintballs. This activity lasted for 2 hours and offered great entertainment to the group.
The next event on the itinerary was Buggy Racing. The afternoon of buggy racing allowed Jamie and the boys to go nuts and take each other on in their 930cc buggies. The racing consisted of three 5 minute races to determine who the king of speed was. Jamie stated that ‘this was a great experience and 15 minutes long enough as it’s a tiring experience due to the engine power of the buggies’.
Accessibility to Birmingham and around the city is very good. As well as great links to the motorway, the city’s main train station Birmingham New Street is centrally located so you won’t have far to travel to your activities, hotels, bars and restaurants. If you do wish to travel around the city maybe to your activities or entertainment venues then why not hop on the frequent bus service that runs throughout the city. A one way ticket costs around £1.50 … absolute bargain!
On the evening, Jamie and his friends headed to the liveliest spot in the city – Broad Street, which is home to many well known bar chains and restaurants which offer great music and entertainment. To end the evening and the stag do on a high note, after the groups fun packed day and night, their accommodation was located very close by so they didn’t have to worry about forking out big taxi costs to get home.
The weekend itself went smoothly, all thanks to StagWeb. All the boys enjoyed themselves a lot and will definitely head back to Birmingham again in the future.
