Stag party braves Mount Snowdon in pyjamas …
After tackling Snowdon clad only in pyjamas and trainers, one stag group were told to be “better prepared” next time. The group, who headed up on Thursday, had previously had many pleasant (and fully clothed) walks up the 3560ft mountain.
They thought they would inject a little stag spirit into this latest trek, unfortunately without checking the weather forecast beforehand. Thunder and rain ensued and the ten soggy stags were forced to call Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team (LMRT) who helped them back down the mountain.
As Wales’ highest mountain, the stunt was seen to be quite foolish by LMRT chairman John Grisdale, who described the weather as ‘very, very heavy rain and quite strong winds’. The foolhardy attempt at a mountain climb didn’t receive the commendations for bravery (albeit insane bravery) it perhaps deserved and the stag’s learnt their lesson; trainers simply weren’t practical wear.
If you and you’re group want to brave the extremes for a Snowdon stag party, we offer activities in our North Wales destination of Langollen from white water rafting to mountain biking to quad biking! See more about a Llangollen stag do!
