The bizarre items left on planes – wedding rings to false teeth
According to a survey from flight comparison site Skyscanner, loads of strange items (including some pretty embarrassing ones) have been left on planes by people travelling.
Books were the most popular item to have been left behind, with 18% of the 700 people polled having left their books behind – coming in second are mobile phones (eek), with 9% of those asked having left these behind and clothes are third with 8%.
As well as all the usual items, 5 people have also admitted to leaving wedding rings behind which we bet led to some explaining when they got home. There were a few scandalous people who admitted to actually leaving their underwear on planes (whether these were the same people who left the wedding rings we don’t know, but the explaining might’ve just got a whole lot harder!)
Two-thirds of passengers in total have left things behind, and a Skyscanner spokesperson commented “Having left my iPad behind on a plane recently, I know how easy it is to do and the frustration and hassle it causes, although it could have been a more awkward conversation with the airline had I lost one of the more embarrassing items our survey revealed.”
Such unusual items left behind on airplanes include wedding rings, a stuffed mouse, a trombone, underwear, a top hat, false teeth, a canvas painting and a fridge.
