Skiing – the perfect stag do : advice from the experts at Simply Piste
Making a stag do as memorable as can be is a great honor. It often involves hitting the pubs and clubs, but if you want something really memorable, try something different. For an alternative stag weekend, think about stag do skiing. It can make a weekend one that you will remember forever, not just for you but for everyone attending, and it’s unlikely they will have ever done anything like it before.
Of course just because you are going skiing doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the clubbing experience, as many ski resorts have a fantastic après ski. Keep busy and don’t waste a minute of your weekend waiting around for the pubs to open, instead make the most of your time by hitting the slopes in the morning and spending the evening enjoying the clubs and bars in the nearest city. Ljubljana, for example, has incredible slopes and a lively nightlife.
The main ski resorts have a lot going on, so there is plenty to do for the adventurous stags out there. There’s usually the option of trying your hand at snowboarding or other snow-related activities as well as getting a bit of culture in the surrounding area.
You don’t need to be an experienced skier to take part. A lot of fun can be had when you’re all attempting to learn together. On the other hand if you or any members of your group are experienced skiers you will already know how much fun you will have, and can enjoy competing against your friends.
If you are getting married in the winter or spring, there will be plenty of opportunities for a skiing stag weekend close to your wedding date. If you’re planning your wedding for later on in the year, don’t rule out a skiing weekend. If you are the adventurous type, holding your stag do a few months before your big day can be a very good idea, as the last thing you want to do is go and injure yourself a couple of weeks before your wedding.
There is no better way to celebrate your last few days of freedom than by feeling the freedom of the slopes! It will be sure to be a weekend that you’ll never forget!
