Two stags have taken their best man duties to a whole new level as they plan a record-breaking stag do before their best friend’s big day.
Toby Dickinson, University friend of groom-to-be Charlie Badderley, has been organising a world-record attempt in novelty, fur-covered vehicles. Along with other best man Tom Lawler they’re all set to pick up Charlie and drive through Somerset in a furry bus before the group attempt four World Records.
The first record they’ll attempt is to achieve the fastest 100m on a space hopper. After that they’ll aim to beat the most hamburgers eaten in three minutes (at the moment the record’s 10.) For the third record they’re planning to get the record for the fastest time taken for eight people to wrap a person in newspaper.
And for a final challenge, the group are entering main stag Charlie into the record of greatest number of eggs crushed with the forehead in 30 seconds.
Stag Tony said, “Charlie is a confident guy and I don’t think this will faze him. I hope he’ll be touched at the effort we’ve gone to.”
Alongside these latest record attempts, the stag trio have also made it their mission to travel across the globe in fur-covered vehicles since 2008. On their first global trip they journeyed to Cameroon in ‘furry rascal vans’ and the following year travelled to Mongolia in a furry fire engine. In 2010 they travelled across South America in furry mototaxis and then last year went to India in furry rickshaws.
Charlie even met fiancée Cate through the magic of their furry vehicles. She was in Mongolia when her car broke down and the furry-fire-engine-crew rescued her from the roadside. They’re all set to get married in December.
The stag group are hoping that their furry efforts will raise lots of money for Help For Heroes and we wish them the best of luck on their stag escapades!
