Try this! A hovercrafting experience for your stag do!

In a recent Top Gear column, god of the motoring world Jeremy Clarkson downright rejected the car in favour of the hovercraft, announcing: “I swear to God, no car on earth can provide so much fun, because in a car you know where you’re going, but in a hovercraft, you don’t. You can turn the handlebars and lean till your face is peeled off, but it will just head for whatever it was that scared you in the first place”.

Hovercrafting is an adrenaline-pumping activity with a difference, so if you’re looking for a totally unique stag weekend, this could be it!  With more conventional off-road toys, you would normally hit the brakes or slide when approaching a particularly sharp corner, but not so with hovercrafting.  Hell no!  Brakes are for wimps.  But before you turn tail and run, rest assured that the machines we use are the product of many years of development in the field of light hovercraft design; so, although fast enough for the adrenaline junkies amongst you, these machines are both safe and reliable, making them ideal for new drivers.

Hovercraft experiences tend to last 2-2.5 hours and include a safety briefing and essential driving instruction from our fully qualified instructors, as well as all necessary safety equipment.  After a few practise laps to get your hand in, you can expect a number of competitive team relay and pursuit events, followed by a ‘fastest lap’ competition to find the fastest driver in the group – you may be surprised!

Our Kent hovercrafting site, in particular, is one of the best in the UK for dedicated hovercrafting experiences.  Boasting the largest hovertrack in the country, this fantastic venue brings you the chance to experience the exhilarating transition from land to water and back as you learn to master these magnificent flying machines.  This extreme activity is definitely not to be missed – as Clarkson said: “It’s the most fun you can have with an engine!”

Planning your stag do activities!

Planning your stag do activities is one of the most important aspects to your stag weekend! The stag do is all about an unforgettable experience for the right reasons. Picking the right activities for the daytime is something you don’t want to get wrong, after all you’ve got 10-15 mates to keep happy. That’s why at StagWeb we pride ourselves on sending our groups only to the best activity suppliers in the UK and Europe. We regularly go on site visits to make sure our activities are up to scratch, this giving us inside knowledge in helping give our clients the best recommendations.

Whether you choose paintballing, go karting, quad biking you want to get the best time slots in the daytime, or you could be stuck with the dreaded 9:30am start, which after a hangover isn’t the best start. Our simple advice for this is book your stag weekend package as early as possible!

When trying to think of stag do activity ideas you may want to consider these questions:

Q. Will the whole group enjoy the activity? Obvious one but there’s no point going white water rafting if one of the lads can’t swim.

Q. Do any of the group have any health issues? some activities may ask you to work a bit harder than others.

Q. Have any of the group done the activity before? They may want a new experience or they could give good recommendations.

Q. The all important question is … Do you want the best possible fun for your stag do? Then StagWeb is the place for you, see our stag weekends, or give our team of event specialists a call on 0845 130 5225.

Remember we’re ABTA bonded so your stag weekend is financially protected.

Springtime is perfect conditions for some serious quad biking action, we usually experience some short showers in March-April making the ground a little damper, which for quad biking is exactly what you want, sure you’ll get muddy but this is all part of this  action loaded stag activity. See more info about a quad biking stag do.

football

A game of football is a top activity anytime of the year but it’s extra special when the sun breaks through on a fresh Springtime morning. Stag Party Activities

Stag party activities are always an important part of any stag weekend. If some of the lads don’t know each other too well then the activities are a great way for everyone to get to know each other and they also help you resist the temptation of just spending the whole day in the pub which can often have messy results and write off the rest of the weekend. There are so many activities on offer for stags these days that you really are spoiled for choice! Obviously you’ve got the stag party classics of paintballing, go karting and clay shooting which are guaranteed winners every time and you’ve also got plenty of other options from the extreme to the relaxing to the downright bizarre.

If you like your motorised activities, but want something other than go karting then (in rough order of extremeness) you could go for beerkeg racing, hovercrafts, off road karts, stunt driving or extreme dodgems. Beerkeg racing is, as the name suggests, racing on motorised beerkegs and extreme dodgems is a full-on race day on a state of the art asphalt oval track.

If you want to go for a shooting activity then if you head to Europe you can find some of the best target shooting activities around where you can shoot anything from handguns to shotguns to semi automatic rifles! It’s an experience like no other and definitely won’t disappoint.
