When arranging a stag weekend abroad, there’s lots of things to think about.

Where can we go that has great nightlife but won’t be packed with loads of English stags when we arrive?

Ljubljana has emerged as the new up and coming city, perfect for an action packed weekend, refreshingly different to the usual suspects.

Second important question to consider; is: What can we do during the day that will keep everyone out of the pub but is also something that couldn’t be done back in blighty?

Hitting the natural slopes with a full day ski pass to a top European resort has to be one of the best unique things to do on a stag weekend. The adrenaline pumping feeling of taking on some awesome ski runs combined with grabbing a few beers and having lunch at the resorts traditional bar makes for an awesome weekend.

Both the fantastic city and the unique skiing can be combined in a truly incredible package. After having a unforgettable day on the slopes of Slovenia’s best ski resort, head back to Ljubljana and get ready for a stag night that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

If you’re looking for somewhere different to go on your stag weekend, which has fantastic nightlife without the hustle and bustle of larger cities such as Newcastle, Manchester and Bristol then a Cheltenham stag weekend fits the bill! Situated just north of Bristol it’s an easily accessible location to get to from the North or South.

Cheltenham has a superb range of outdoor activities such as – rage buggies, quad biking, hovercrafting, and clay shooting. Or nearby go karting, paintball or watersports. These will give plenty of day time activities to offer the guys to keep them all happy! If you’re not looking for outdoor activities and want something a bit more sedate but still great fun to offer the guys then Vodka tasting or cocktail mixing could be a great option for you.

Cheltenham has plenty on offer for the evening from some top notch restaurants and bars, to lap dancing clubs and nightclubs to keep you all amused throughout the evening. With regards to hotels there is plenty on offer from outskirts 4* spa hotels, or 3*/2* central hotels if you just want somewhere nearby to lay your head for the night.

What’s your favourite stag destination?

My favorite destination in the UK for a golf stag weekend is Edinburgh; it has simply beautiful golf courses, with stunning views for fantastic value. Edinburgh offers great options for your golf stag weekend with a wide selection of accommodation from 4 Star hotels right the way through to apartments and hostels.

Golf is such a great activity for the whole group to participate in whilst on your stag do. It brings everyone together, all abilities can participate and it’s the perfect start or end to the weekend.

Edinburgh’s nightlife is some of the best in the UK, with 100s of vibrant bars, pubs & clubs and offers the perfect start to your stag weekend, Edinburgh’s music scene caters for all age ranges and music tastes.

What would you recommend to stag groups?

I would always recommend booking up early to make sure you receive the exact times preferred for the group’s activities. Also having a good early plan gives you enough time to manage the rest of the guys!

What’s your favourite stag destination?

Without doubt my favourite stag destination has to be Prague. I’ve visited all the destinations I cover and Prague really does take some beating. Prague is a city that’s alive 24 hours a day, weather you are participating in some of the great activities we offer, taking in the sites, or just enjoying the array of nightlife options, you will never be disappointed on a Prague Stag weekend.

What’s your favourite stag activity?

My favourite stag activity would have to be White Water Rafting. I believe the more adrenalin fuelled the activity the better, go-karting and quad biking are fine but there is very little group interaction once you’re under way. Rafting allows 8 people to a raft, so whether you are working together to navigate the gates or just trying to stitch up the stag it always results in great fun and banter.

What’s your favourite nightlife entertainment?

My favourite evening option like my favourite activity is based on group interaction. You will always have the usual lap dancing and night clubs which is part and parcel of any stag weekend, however I feel a night at the dogs is a stag banker. If you’re on a 2 night weekend it’s a great option for the Friday night, especially if like most stag groups you have some guys in the group who have never met. It’s a great value ice breaker.

What would you recommend to stag groups?

With all my groups I always recommend booking as early as possible, it really is never too early to secure your weekend, the benefits of booking early far out way the negatives. You will always get the best accommodation options, best activity timings, best prices, and most importantly by giving the boys as much notice as possible you will always get more people attending. As a best man there’s nothing worse than telling the stag you only have 4 lads attending his big weekend because you left things to the last minute.

Whether you just want to chill-out at one of the many bars on the rambles, take an open top tour round the city, or just relax on the beach, Barcelona really is a summer destination you must consider.

While many European stag destinations like Dublin and Bratislava have seen a sharp decrease in the number of visiting UK stag groups, Prague has continued to develop and is now undoubtedly our best performing EU destination.

Prague is blessed with some great activities, and really has something for everyone, from active outdoor options like target shooting and white water rafting to some traditional stag favourites like a brewery tour or river cruise.

There’s not much that you need to know about the nightlife in Prague that you don’t already know, simply legendary … full of great bars, great clubs, and a lot of lap dancing and cabaret venues.

With the fantastic prices we get in Prague, the packages on offer will always attract a high level of demand. When you combine these options with some great low cost flights you really are onto a winner. With many other European destinations increasing in price there really is no better time to visit the Czech capital.

Mike was looking to organise a top Budapest stag weekend for the start of July, he enquired with us, we matched his plans and he decided to book his Budapest stag do with us at StagWeb because our package represented the best value weekend.

The weekend consisted of 3 nights accommodation in our centrally located 3 star hotel a short walk from the superb Budapest nightlife meaning the best stag nights were on the doorstep for the guys. For their first night on the town we arranged a guided tour of the city to make sure the boys were familiar with all the best bars and clubs to hit, this of course included a few beers and entry to a couple of clubs, a must do for all Budapest stag weekends.

For a Budapest stag activity the guys wanted competition so chose outdoor karting. A cracking choice with our grand prix style event on a massive 820m outdoor track, with 11 karts on the track at once hitting speeds of 50mph it’s easy to see why this is one of our highest rated Budapest stag do activities.
