Ten of the best summer stag activities

Surfing

Probably the coolest activity on the planet, well at least if you know what you’re doing, but for a stag weekend surfing is great fun. You’ll do a half-day (or full day) tater where you’ll get taught the basics and get out into the ocean for a top laugh with the lads. It’s refreshing, hilarious fun and sends the hangover packing! Top spots – Newquay, Woolacombe.

Waveskiing

A little bit different waveskiing is a cross between surfing and kayaking. A great activity where you can quickly experience the thrill. Get out on the ocean, catch a wave and then paddle like bilio into the shore – fit and fun. Top spots –Newquay.

Ringos

Remember when you were a kid and there was an old tyre inner on a bit of rope tied to the back of a speedboat … well this is the 21st century version ideal for stag weekend watersports. It’s a lot slicker but just as much fun and perhaps a little quicker – splashtastic. Top spots – Bournemouth, Brighton, Isle of Wight, Newquay, Torquay, Woolacombe.

Windsurfing

very cool, ok you won’t be world beaters at the first attempt but you will learn a new skill and it will be hilarious as you all struggle to get it right, but that’s part of the fun of the stag weekend. Eventually you will and you’ll be out cutting through the waves with a huge smile on your faces. Top spots – Bournemouth, Brighton, Isle of Wight, Newquay, Southampton, Torquay, Woolacombe.
Zap Kats

These high velocity single seater power boats are as powerful as you’re going to get for stag weekend watersports, they’re a serious bit of kit. So powerful in fact if it’s too choppy you’ll have to be taken out by an instructor, it’s like speedway on the sea. Top spots – Bournemouth, Brighton, Cardiff, Newquay, Southampton.

to be continued! … the other 5 will be coming tomorrow.
