Stag Nights in 2010

It’s a new decade, but it’s still important that the age-old tradition of the stag night must still be upheld and in this day and age you have a fantastic selection of options for your stag night entertainment. You can still go for the timeless classic of pubs and clubs – there are many good reasons why this has been popular with so many stag groups – but you may want to try something else on your stag night or if you’re going for a whole stag weekend, you could go traditional on one night and try something different on the other.

Comedy clubs are becoming increasingly popular with stag groups and are perfect for the first night of a stag weekend, it gets all the lads laughing together getting you all warmed up for a great weekend. Just watch where you sit as comedians have been known to single out stag groups for ridicule – unless you’d welcome a few laughs at your expense, comedy shows are always more memorable if you’re involved!

For a top stag night out you’re going to need to make sure that you arrive at every location in style and we’ve got two great options to help you do just that. With the boogie bus you can keep the party going between bars and there’s also the booze cruise option which is not only great for standing out from the crowd (who else will be turning up at the club in a  boat?) it’s also a brilliant way to see the city.

Stunt driving – new Birmingham stag do activity

Our newest activity for you lucky stags is a definite future favourite as it offers you and the lads the chance to become stunt drivers for the day! Under expert supervision you will get the chance to try out some moves you’ll probably recognise from your favourite films like Bullitt, the Italian Job and French Connection. You’ll get to try out the J-turn, handbrake turn, the ‘funny car’ (a car made up of two front halves stuck together!), the ‘double decker’ (two cars stacked on top of each other), car chase skills and the ‘wheelie car’. Check out the video on our stunt driving stag activity page.

If you’ve got a stag do in Birmingham coming up and you want to try something completely different then stunt driving is a great unique activity that will impress even the lads who’ve been on loads of stag dos before. Any stag party that involves stunt driving is sure to go down with the lads as a legendary do.

Top Brighton stag activities

Brighton has been a top stag destination for many years and has a fantastic range of activities. Being on the coast of course means that in addition to all the land-based activities you’d get in other destinations, you also get a selection of watersports to choose from. Here’s a selection of just a few of the activities on offer for your Brighton stag do:

James Bond day – your chance to experience the life of an international super spy taking part in five of eight activities on offer including quad biking, target shooting, a helicopter treasure hunt, 4×4 driving and, of course, cocktail mixing (you’ve got to know how to make a good martini!)

Zap cats (pictured) – an extreme watersport that involves speeding across the waves – completely exhilirating and great fun, it’s like a more awesome version of powerboating.

Yacht charter – if you fancy a day on the waves, but zap cats is a bit too much for you then you could charter a yacht and have a relaxing day at sea with great views of the coastline.

Kite surfing – it’s a bit like windsurfing and a bit like power kiting, you basically stand on a surfboard and use a giant kite to pull you around. You’ll all most likely spend more time in the water than on the water, but that’s the fun of it!

There are plenty more great activities to choose from – check our Brighton stag activities page for more information and if you’re going for watersports always remember the golden rule: bring a towel!

Missing out on that all important activity you’ve been eyeing up for a couple of weeks could be the downfall to your stag party, the best thing to do is at least secure your activities and accommodation now before it’s all booked up in UK summer peak times.

We’ve all been and experienced missing out on something so imagine it like this, you wake up, want to get the best deck chairs by the pool, but someone’s already got down before you and put there bloody towel down first! It’s simple; if you got in earlier you’d be happy as Larry! The same thing kind of applies to the most popular activities.

Here are some of the classic activities which will sure to make your summer stag weekends go off with a bang!:
