Top activities for a summer stag do!

With the summer only a couple of months away it’s definitely time to get your summer stag do organised. With stag activities and accommodation filling up, you don’t want to miss out on the best crop of activities. Below we’ve listed 3 of the best to get the most out of the UK summer sun!

surfing

Possibly one of the best activities for beach action! If you and the guys are experienced surfers then we recommend Newquay but even if you’re not it’s a fantastic activity and a great laugh! The good thing about a Newquay surfing stag weekend is our Surf lodges are close to the beach, so you’re close to the thrill seeking action.

football playing

Celebrate this years 2010 World Cup with a StagWeb World Cup of your own! If you and the boys are into your football then how about an 11-a-side game of football on a professional football pitch?  We can arrange a game on some of the UK’s best stadium’s. The summer is the only real time you can get a chance to do this as the football season will be over. Get out onto the lush hallow turf of Craven Cottage or Upton Park.

golf weekend

Another group bonding activity for the summer is a competitive round of golf. And the beauty of this stag activity is it’s pretty much available all over the UK. It’s a great activity for a relaxing Sunday morning. So whether it’s 18 or a 9 hole course you and the boys will have a top summer stag weekend!

Continued from yesterday – top 10 summer stag party activities

Coasteering

This is an extreme sport you need to be fit for, it’s a combination of a hiking, canyoning and cliff jumping. It’s probably the most naturally thrilling activity you can do in the UK but you’ve got to be game. Top spots – Cardiff, Exeter, Newquay, Torquay, Woolacombe.

Yacht Charter / Sailing

Perhaps the coolest of stag weekend watersports, hire a yacht, load up with beers and snacks (but drink responsibly) and let the skipper take you out on half-day of full day’s sailing. As the ozzies might say … bloody beautiful! Top spots – Barcelona, Bournemouth, Brighton, Isle of Wight, Southampton.

Sea Fishing

A great activity, half day of full day. Half-day will be closer to the shore and therefore the catch will be slightly different, but get out for a full day and we’re talking deep sea fishing. Usually 10-12 to a vessel, you’ll need your sea legs but if the weather holds it’s a day with your best mates you’ll never forget. Top spots – Barcelona, Bournemouth, Brighton, Isle of Wight, Newquay, Southampton, Torquay, Woolacombe.

Zorbing

Imagine this, a group of stags all line up to do something you’ve never done before and are unlikely to do again. You get into a massive nylon ball which has a cavity especially for you (and maybe a mate if you’re lucky), you’re strapped in and then rolled down a slow for a few minutes of madness. Awesome! Top spots – Bournemouth.

Cricket

Where would the summer be without Cricket, nowhere that’s where. Cricket is the archetypal summer team game so it’s ideal for a stag weekend, whether it’s spectating (20/20, county, day-night, test) or playing a proper match, six a side or indoor. We have access to several international fixtures where you can play against expats and the locals, we even know of a pitch where we might even be able to get a celebrity player or two! Top Spots – Bath, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Cork, Durham, France, Leeds, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Southampton, Taunton, Tallinn.

In truth there are plenty more (we haven’t even mentioned beach volleyball, hydrospeeding, highland games or zip wires), check out StagWeb’s activities section for a full buffet of stag weekend ideas. The most important thing of all is to get something that will suit the group that you’ll all enjoy, we’re here to help you get great value and a superb stag weekend experience.
