In the recent past and especially since joining the EU in 2004 Slovakia has blossomed into one of Europe's unsung success stories, some have referred to it, with its natural beauty, as a kind of “European New Zealand”. And of all the Slovakian cities the main beneficiary has been Bratislava, now, producing over 25% of the country's GDP. Bratislava lies in the west of the country, easily accessible by way of Bratislava itself or the nearby Vienna (60km) - these pair are the two closest capitals in the world. As far as you lads go it's a smasher, bars, pubs and cafes line the city's squares and cobbled streets giving you the feeling that you're in one of the Europe's best kept secrets. Bratislava is an inspiring place and a genuine opportunity to pack loads of fun into just a few days. Sending groups since 2005 we’ve comprehensively explored the area and done in depth research for you so here’s an example itinerary of how you and the lads can really go to bat in Brat-islava:

FRIDAY:

5pm Once you’ve arrived for your stunning Bratislava stag do check into your city centre hotel - we have a range of options but for many groups we recommend our preferred 3* central hotels for a great location, close to everything we’d recommend and on a stag-friendly budget. Settle in to your group pleasing accommodation and breathe in Bratislava as you look out over the historic River Danube (the second longest river in Europe).

7pm After a bit of unpacking, localised sightseeing and a refreshing pivo the lads are probably a bit peckish so get your slacks on and head out to the regally named Beer Palace - a great restaurant that serves upmarket pub grub and of course loads of varieties of beer. The venue remains open until late, so if you don’t fancy moving around too much you’ll be well served however if you did you might also wander across to The Malecon followed by a nightcap or two at Destination Vodka Bar!

SATURDAY:

10am After a cheeky lie in and checking your eyebrows are both still there you could head for some breakfast on a summer terrace in the city centre! Check out Café Vienna or Café Verne (if you’re on a budget and crying out for a muffin there are McDonald’s around which also do breakfasts.) Try a traditional Bratislava portion of ham and eggs from around 3-5 Euros (or many places offer the more English scrambled eggs and bacon.)

12pm After a carb fuelled recovery it’s time to try some target shooting - pile yourselves into a handy transfer bus and take aim! The expert instructor will have you shooting like Starsky after some well schooled practise and you get to choose from a range of specialised pistols and revolvers.

3pm After honing yourself as a special forces shooter it’s time to add a little getaway driving with Bratislava’s best indoor gokarting. The karts, all over 200cc are capable of speeds up to 50km/hr and the track is a few hundred metres, so it’s ideal for a great run out and a little healthy competition to follow the shooting.

5pm Ignore all resistance and take the pace down and advantage of Slovakia’s capital, for a memory making injection of culture take the lads, even the philistines, over to Bratislava Castle which will give you a quick look at some of the city’s history and if you climb to the top gives you a wonderful view of the whole city. Great for photos n’est pas. Over the winter months the sun may be setting at around this time so you’ll have some award winning sunsets for your collection.

7pm After getting back to the hotel to change up and put the disco shirts on, ready for the culinary event of a young stag’s lifetime - a strip dinner. You’ll be happy to know gents that it does what it says on the tin and will include a 2-3 course dinner, drinks, 2 dancers and a lively finish. Setting the pace for a quality night.

9pm It's time to head out and experience the fantastic Bratislava nightlife. Depending on your group size 1-2 gorgeous female guides will pick you up and accompany you on a superb bar crawl where you and the boys will sample the best nightspots the Slovakian capital has to offer (on top of that the first round of drinks is on us). The girls will then lead you to one of the city’s finest lap dancing clubs where you’ll take your seats and be dazzled. As if your day hasn't been perfect enough you’ll then top it off with q-jumping, hassle free nightclub entry, a well earned chance to throw some shapes and party into the early hours!

SUNDAY:

9am Chances are you’re all going to be a tad groggy, but if you and the lads are after the chance to enjoy your last few hours then head to Darsana - a spa and massage centre which will give you some richly deserved muscle rest with unique therapies. Follow this up with an easy going boat trip for a last bit of lad bonding time. If you’re still in the mood for exploring you could go check out the Old Town for a historical Bratislava Street Market and some street food prepared at smoky grills.

12pm Time to get your return transfers back to the airport and say “zbohom” to an epic Bratislava stag weekend. Who wouldn’t enjoy that!
