a little more about aGothenburg stag do
And a lot like the rest of Continental Europe, Gothenburg has an appetite for fun, you can bust your stag weekend moves well into the early hours, gorge on late night hot dogs and then walk or catch a tram back to your clean and comfortable hotel. Sweden has a reputation for being expensive and depending on where you go there are some things that are pricier than at home such as beers, (probably half as expensive again), but this is where you have to be stag smart. If you get the timing right you'll save a bundle on flights, and StagWeb will help you get the most of your weekend from happy hours to happy Gothenburg stags!
why go to Gothenburg
The setting is striking, the atmosphere’s electric and the activities are incredible. If you thought Ikea was the pinnacle of Swedish creativity, think again - the Art Nouveau architecture of Gothenburg provides a striking backdrop to an exciting city.
In Gothenburg there’s always celebrations going on, whether it’s partying in the sun at the Midsummer Festival or gathering some stag souvenirs at Scandinavia’s largest Christmas market at the Liseberg Amusement Park. West Sweden is also quickly gaining an international reputation as the food capital of northern Europe due to the growing number of imaginative chefs, making it ideal for any foodie stags.
Alongside an excellent atmosphere and great sights, there are tons of fantastic activities to pack into your Gothenburg stag weekend. Start Saturday with a bout of paintball to get your adrenaline pumping before giving your stag do some extra kudos with something unusual - sumo wrestling. You’ll wear a huge, padded sumo wrestler suit and grapple with your opponent before crowning a stag champion.
Start your Gothenburg night out at a top casino where you and the boys can try your hands at some high-rolling games with poker chips aplenty. After that we’ll organise for you and the boys to go to a top, stag-friendly restaurant for a hearty stag meal, before hooking you up with queue jump and VIP entry to one of the best nightclubs in Gothenburg.
Whether you’re looking to spend the weekend with high-adrenaline action sports or on a relaxing boy’s weekend away, a stag weekend in Gothenburg has something for everyone.
