Latvia is snuggled in the middle of the Baltics between Lithuania and Estonia, it's probably the most vibrant and modern capital which is great for any visiting Riga stag do. With a population close to 750,000 it's also the biggest and most commercially prominent, but still a very manageable size.
Riga stag parties should also know that the city is a UNESCO world heritage site, which – if you know your cultural heritage – is a very big deal, there's a lot to see and respect. If you can take time to go on a city tour, perhaps a Sunday morning, a little injection of culture will add a welcome dimension to the Riga stag party. The country's history is long and varied and provides some fascinating tales as far back as the thirteenth century, more recent times has seen the country's independence from the Soviet Union (17.09.1991) and Latvia joining NATO and the EU in 2004.
