how to plan the stag weekend
Ok so this is taking the stag weekend planning down to the bare bones and building it back up again, just follow the steps, consider your response and then send us an enquiry or give us a call. We’ll use the best stag weekend brains in the world and consider the optimum solutions for you. Then we’ll get back to you with stag weekend ideas, suggestions, availability and hold options so you can get it sorted and off your “to do list”.
1. decide when to go
• plan a few weeks before the wedding, just in case there are any accidents
• be aware of clashes with birthdays, holidays, special occasions etc
• consider seasonality, what will the weather be doing
• check the sporting and event calendar, does your chosen weekend clash?
• how many nights do you want to go for?
• do you just want the best deals?
2. how many people are coming (approx)
• very short this one. We only need an approximate group number, so if some of the lads are unsure if the missus will let them attend, you can be rest assured the weekend will definitely still go ahead.
3. decide where you want to go
• home or away, UK or Europe or further afield? see all of our stag weekend destinations |

4. decide what activities you want

5. decide what to do in the evening
You have to have a plan for the stag nights otherwise they literally dissolve into a loose, uncontrollable, splinter group pint-fest. Failing to plan is planning to fail here, so think about.
• when do you want the evenings to start and how much content do you want to plan?
• do you have any local knowledge? if not what will you need eg a bar guide / information / etc
• do you need or want transport organised?
• is food on the menu? It should be, you have to eat so make sure you’ve got a stag supper sorted. If nothing else it’s a last supper tribute to the groom! And while a decent dinner to mark the occasion is a nice touch it doesn’t have to be grand.
• any sporting considerations? Do you need a bar showing the match? Do you want to play or watch sport?
• do the group know each other? If not definitely have something a bit more exciting planned for the first night, we call them “ice breakers”, it gets every one on the same page and sets the tone for the weekend e.g. comedy club, greyhound racing, booze cruises or a themed dinner
• what are your thoughts on extra curricular action, groups vary and what might be right for one group may not be right for another but the nights are going to be late so sort out the late bars, clubbing, lap dancing, casinos.
6. what kind of accommodation
• what standard or accommodation do you want?
• is there a minimum standard or is it budget driven?
• do you want city central or outside the centre?
• do you want hotels, apartments, guesthouses or even self-catering?
• if possible what facilities do you want your accommodation to have?
7. relax
Once you've decided what you want to do, just send us a brief enquiry or call 0845 130 5225 and then relax. Within 24 hours we'll send you back a quote for your approx group size. You can then send that onto the lads to have a look at. Remember, you don't have to confirm final group numbers until 5 weeks before the event. Your best bet to avoid any disappointment is to get us to hold your stag weekend as soon as possible so you get the best pick of activities and accommodation before they all get booked up.

• what is important to you that a destination has?
• do you want to go all out adrenaline, combine action with relaxation or go sporting?
