Best Bars in Split
This buzzing Croatian town is a hotbed for cool bars and vibrant clubs. By sticking to Old Town you'll never be far from a venue selling some local beers and wine made only a few miles off the coast.
After a day of sun, sea and soaking up the impressive sights, a drink is definitely in order. Incorporating the bars into your adventure makes for the perfect cultured bar crawl if you want to get a real feel of Split from its winding alleys and gothic architecture.
Around the nearby beaches, you'll find some buzzing venues that overlook the Adriatic, making for ideal day drinking hotspots if the boys need a break from Croatian adventure or some shade after soaking up the golden rays.
Where to Head...
Districts
The best Split stag do action is in two main areas, the beach and the old town/palace. Both are actually within walking distance of each other and more importantly our hotels. Around the old town you'll find some curious but brilliant bars with a real bohemian feel that are a great way to begin the night and mix with the locals. In August the beach is overtaken by a huge festival and is an amazing place to party.
Must see...
The View - It's a stunning location so head up Marjan (Beach Mountain) to take in the amazing view over Split and the stunning Mediterranean vista. It's the perfect way to ease any sore stag heads back to life.
The Sea - You're virtually surrounded by it. It's warm and wet and perfect for Split stag do lads to dive right into. There are also some top quality cafes and restaurants around the beach serving great local produce and fresh fish. It's definitely worth going local and sampling the food.
Spilt was used as a film location for HBO's smash hit Game of Thrones. The narrow streets and alleyways of the old town were used in shots of Kings Landing.
The nearby town of Kastel Gomilica double up as Braavos where Ayra Stark learned from the Faceless Man.
Split is on the tip of the Dalmation Coast where the dogs get their name.
A Taste of Split
Eats - Papa's is an American themed diner that does simply fantastic burgers served with great beer. Life really shouldn't get more complicated than that. Perfect to keep all your Split stag do well fed on a big night out.
Drinks - If you're intending on going truly native then Rakija is the way to go but go easy. This fruit brandy comes in a variety of flavours, is often brewed at home and could stun an elephant at 50 paces. It definitely put lead in your pencil.
Getting Around Split
Split is a brilliantly compact city and pretty much everything you'll need is right in the city centre so easily accessible on foot. If you are looking to travel further afield the Bus Croatia is cheap and reliable. If you're feeling a bit more adventurous you can hire bikes at really good rates which could be a good way for some of the guys to workout a little excess beer from the bloodstream (or create your own "Tour de Split").

Split the Bill - Is a Split Stag Do Expensive?
