Zerodegrees – Cardiff
This is such a cool venue in such a great location. Siting right opposite the impressive Millennium Stadium, you can relax up on the mezzanine, chill in the garden, watch the excellent chefs as they cook or watch the beer as it brews. Once you’ve finished staring at the giant tanks you can get sampling (we can recommend The Bohemian).
Tiny Rebel – Newport
Regular blog readers will know StagWeb are huge fans of Tiny Rebel so it’s no wonder one of their pubs makes it into our Top 41. Just like their beer, this is a pub with a difference – quiz nights, table tennis, there’s a great menu and special pizza and burger nights. However, the main draw is the great range of beers and pride of place rightly goes to Tiny Rebel’s excellent own brews.
Beelzebub’s Bar – Cardiff
When in Rome, well, you do what you like, but when in Cardiff we head to Beelzebub’s Bar. The watering hole of the brilliant Crafty Devil Brewing Co this is a proper drinking hole with no distractions, just staff who are as passionate about beer as you are. They even host a homebrew club for beginners and regular tasting events.
The Woodville – Cardiff
With a regularly varying selection of guest beers, Woodville is craft beers for party people. There’s no mistake this is a good time venue for a party crowd, you’ll find a great outdoor area, big screen sports, pool table, and late license. There’s also a comprehensive menu of man food with something for even your fussiest mates.
The Owain Glyndwr – Cardiff
It’s difficult not to feel affectionate towards any pub that has a ‘Breakfast Menu’ but that’s exactly what you’ll find in the Owain Glyndwr. There’s also a very good menu full of pub classics and new inventions (like the Yorkshire pudding wrap). However, we’re here for the beer and they also serve an excellent selection and champion local beers.
