Time & Beef

169 Cowbridge Road, Cardiff, CF11 9AH

“We are not fast food, we are quality food!” Time & Beef isn’t here to cut corners, they’re here to deliver. Forget frozen, pre-cooked gristle with more air miles than a septuagenarian air hostess, they honour local suppliers and cook to order in a bid to succeed in their mission: to create the best burger you’ve ever had. It’s a bold claim, but if you didn’t have innovators and trailblazers shooting for the stars like these guys, society would grind to a flavourless halt.

The Smoke Haus Swansea

Wind Street, Swansea, SA1 1EE

Inspired by the music-enthused food haven that is New Orleans, the guys behind The Smoke Haus Swansea have brought a taste of the deep south back to Welsh shores and raised the bar for every other BBQ joint in the area. They slow-cook their meat over a real wood fire which smokes it to give it a rich and distinctive flavour. Tender, succulent, and sublimely smoky they are here to stay, which is great, because we couldn’t afford to keep paying to fly out to the US every time we wanted a badass burger.
