how StagWeb started ...

Originally set up as a sideline to big corporate events StagWeb was started as a simple service in early 2001. The founder was bestman to an old friend and looking for ideas and inspiration for the stag weekend he had to organise.

For most people the thought of organizing a top quality, high value stag do from a standing start is a little daunting, given it is for one of your best mates and a lot of other close friends, maybe even a few critical attendees you might not know. Plus these days free time is often limited and you certainly don't have local experience of venues or guidance on budget; the bottom line is there are quite a few banana skins.

When StagWeb made the commitment to provide the greatest stag platform there really was nothing obvious about and from the realization that stags were not being served well, a simple idea was born.

After several months’ research and preparation a fully independent StagWeb Limited was incorporated on 06 February 2002. From that moment StagWeb became a fully functioning tour operator. Initially weekends were offered in 20 UK destinations (now there are over 30), offering every necessary fundamental of a decent stag weekend from quality, well positioned accommodation, exciting activities, friendly, fun entertainment, transport, guide and instructor services. The first ever weekend was booked for Nottingham, from then on StagWeb grew and grew satisfying an increasing number of clients who could benefit from a pretty unique and exceptional service.

Prague and Vilnius were the first international destinations to be added, StagWeb's regular portfolio now running over 60 destinations. Not included on the website is the private work we do for groups in specially selected locations, for example we have also delivered weekends in various additional locations in the UK aswell as key locations in Europe such as Milan, Berlin, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Brussels, Stockholm to name a few.

StagWeb has always been at the forefront not only of new destinations (being the first or one of the first UK companies to open up new territories, eg the Baltics, Slovenia, Poland), but also new activities. We're always looking to offer and create optimum opportunities for its highly valued clients.

Along with first class event preparation and management, StagWeb covers all the essential bases of successful 21st century companies, from databases to insurances, IT investment, personnel management, quality control, training and more. The business has a hard earned and very capable depth, making every development from a secure and well managed platform.
