StagWeb is a totally professional organisation adhering to the highest codes of conduct and support. Not only do we have a full and operational tour operator’s cover but we have also invested in ABTA and its requisite professional terms of business to ensure that our clients receive the highest levels of protection. Much of the market remains unregulated, with companies regularly defaulting on their obligations, but with StagWeb you can be fully assured of absolute commitment and client orientation at all times.
ABTA regulated travel agents and tour operators must comply with strict financial rules and administrative protocol ensuring best practice, including insurance against financial failure. These rules are to protect you and allow ABTA to support client claims in the event of a company failure. You can book your holiday knowing that if an ABTA regulated tour operator or travel agent goes bust while you're on holiday, you should be confident that you are protected; in any event ABTA will be on hand for full professional assistance. With ABTA in your corner you'll receive the travel industry's best advice and or be given help to make alternative arrangements for the holiday to proceed.
As well as providing comprehensive financial protection we have to prepare independently signed off accounts for ABTA, this means the accounts are presented in the most professional manner possible. In this way clients can have the fullest of confidence that StagWeb operates in the highest levels of professionalism with a driven commitment to exceptional standards. These protocols, among others, make us very different from other companies. The value and focus you get with StagWeb is second to none, don't settle for less.
The Association of British Travel Agents is the UK's Premier Trade Association for Tour Operators and Travel Agents. ABTA's travel agency offices are responsible for the sale of some 85% of UK-sold holidays. ABTA's main aims are to maintain high standards of trading practice for the benefit of its Members, the travel industry at large, and the consumers that they serve, and to create as favourable a business climate as possible for its Members. The ABTA Information Department is pleased to offer advice on travel related subjects and can verify ABTA membership details. Calls are charged at 50p per minute between 9am and 5.30pm - 0901 201 50 50 (UK Callers Only). ABTA Ltd, 30 Park Street, London SE1 9EQ.
Formed in 1950 by 22 leading travel companies, ABTA - The Travel Association - now represents over 5,000 travel agencies and more than 900 tour operations, throughout the British Isles. Members range from specialist tour operators and independent travel agencies through to publicly-listed companies and household names; from online services to high street shops. All of them carry the ABTA logo, which means choice, value and excellent levels of service. The amalgamation of ABTA and the Federation of Tour Operators (FTO) on 1 July 2008 has created a still more powerful and authoritative voice for the travel industry.
There are a lot of companies out there who are not professional, and there are many who have no commitment to your event. Not to mention the international companies who don't even have trading licenses let alone official UK representation. If you don't want to take chances - and you shouldn't, don't think about booking your event without ABTA protection. And certainly don't take chances internationally.
With StagWeb we demand more, you can rest assured we consider every instance to the full benefit and advantage of our clients.
We are also recognised licensed tour operators and fully covered by tour operators combined liability insurance, issued in accordance with authorisation and leading UK & European legislation. Please feel free to contact us for details of our insurers.
An ATOL license is the registration allowing the holder to sell flights. Essentially it is protection for flight inclusive packages. It does not apply as a protective measure if no flight services are booked. By way of example if you book ground services e.g. accommodation and transfers but NOT flights, your booking is not financially protected under the ATOL licence, at the risk of repetition it applies only to flight inclusive products sold as a whole (not in separate transactions).
We do not sell flights from here, alternatively and in line to the StagWeb corporate structure we have flight partners we recommend for specific routes - many clients take advantage of these preferential arrangements. We also, when requested, assist clients in finding the most appropriate flight solutions. The flight market is extremely competitive which is great news for consumers, led by Easyjet, BMI and Ryan Air; European flights are as low as they have ever been (some even giving them away!) and even the traditional carriers are restructuring their fares accordingly. Given the great accessibility of the destinations we serve, low flight costs, our flight recommendations and the fact our clients already receive protection of the highest standards, it is very much a conscious decision not to package flights with our programmes. In this way it gives our clients the widest choice (without restriction) and significant cost reduction / price advantage opportunities. Under each international destination there is a “getting there” page presenting the best possible flight options, it's that simple.
If you decide to organise it yourself and not through StagWeb remember to make sure all safety rules, regulations, assurances and insurances, etc are covered - see disclaimer. If you choose another service to organise it for you - remember to check the credentials and make certain you are fully covered. Remember if you get rubbish value and a very ordinary time - that's very expensive, it will effect the whole weekend. If your event is important you want to be safe in the knowledge you're getting the best stag weekend in the marketplace, go with StagWeb - it really is the home of stags on the web, we exist solely to run the best stag holiday programmes (at the highest standards) for you.
