ABTA - financial protection
ABTA regulated travel agents and tour operators must comply with strict financial rules. These rules are to protect you and allow ABTA to support client claims in the event of a company failure. You can book your holiday knowing that if an ABTA regulated tour operator or travel agent goes bust while you’re on holiday, you should be confident that you are protected; in any event ABTA will be on hand for full professional assistance. With ABTA in your corner you’ll receive the travel industry's best advice and or be given help to make alternative arrangements for the holiday to proceed.

The Association of British Travel Agents is the UK 's Premier Trade Association for Tour Operators and Travel Agents. ABTA's travel agency offices are responsible for the sale of some 85% of UK-sold holidays. The ABTA Information Department is pleased to offer advice on travel related subjects and can verify ABTA membership details. There are 1,592 Members operating from 6,323 sites (head offices plus branch offices).  Of these, 1,298 are conducting retail business (travel agents) and 832 are conducting principal business (tour operators). These figures include 538 Members who are both travel agents and tour operators.* (* All figures as at 20 October 2006 ). Over 80% of the UK ’s package holidays sold through ABTA Members.

bottom line
There are a lot of companies out there who are not professional, and there are many who have no commitment to your event let alone the UK Package Travel Regulations. Not to mention the international companies who don't even have trading licenses let alone official UK representation. lf you don't want to take chances - and you shouldn't, don't think about booking your event without ABTA protection. And certainly don't take chances internationally.

IIP - Investors In People
StagWeb™ was awarded investors in people accreditation in February 2005. IIP is a commercial accreditation recognised throughout the business community, in essence it is a measure of the effectiveness of protocol, process and professional staff development. Essentially you can be assured that StagWeb™ systems and personnel are constantly reviewed, prepared and improved to give you service and professional support of the highest possible standard. ATOL
An ATOL license is the registration allowing for the direct sale of flights (it is flight protection not holiday protection), we do not sell flights from here, alternatively and in line to the StagWeb™ corporate structure we have flight partners we recommend for specific routes - many clients take advantage of these preferential arrangements. We also, when requested, assist clients in finding the most appropriate flight solutions. The flight market is extremely competitive which is great news for consumers, led by Easyjet, BMI and Ryan Air, European flights are as low as they have ever been (some even giving them away!) and even the traditional carriers are restructuring their fares accordingly. Given the great accessibility of the destinations we serve, low flight costs, our flight recommendations and the fact our clients already receive protection of the highest standards, it is very much a conscious decision not to package flights with our programmes. In this way it gives our clients the widest choice (without restriction) and significant cost reduction / price advantage opportunities. Under each international destination there is a “getting there” page presenting the best possible flight options, it’s that simple.
