Reef Fishing in Albufeira

Love fishing? Want an almost guaranteed way of reeling in some great catches? Reef fishing is much less of a gamble than big game fishing, so all the guys are sure to get at least one bite and hopefully a whole lot more.

There's something brilliantly relaxing about a day spent fishing, but if you want to make that even better then hire your own boat and head out onto the water, far away from the tourists, traffic, and mobile fans. This is man-stuff (Groupia receive virtually zero requests from hen parties to go fishing) and there's something almost primal about catching what could be your dinner that night (although in the interests of sustainable fishing all fish must be released safely back).

You'll have exclusive use of a 10.07-metre cruiser with a 69hp engine. Larger groups can hire two boats and the boats will travel in tandem. An experienced skipper and fisherman will be at the helm to take you directly to the best reefs and fishing waters (the boat crew are careful not to overfish any one reef). You'll be fishing in areas rich with:

• Black sea bream
• White seabream
• Horse mackerel
• Grouper
• Sea bream
• And more

And yes, for all the budding Captain Quints among you, these waters are home to sharks but no great whites.

They're fish, we cannot guarantee all the guys will catch one, but these are really friendly waters so the chances are definitely good making this a great introduction to the sport for any fishing virgins.
