Highlights
The Wildwood Retreat
The Wildwood Retreat is an exclusive-hire glampsite built for stag groups who want space, privacy and a proper escape from city life. Set among fields and woodland in the North East, the site gives you total freedom to run the weekend your way.
Group-Friendly Sleeping Setup
The site sleeps up to 25 people across six yurts and bell tents, making it ideal for larger groups. Each unit is heated and fully equipped with proper bedding, lanterns, outdoor cooking gear and its own fire pit. Yurts include wood-burning stoves, while bell tents use stick stoves, keeping things warm and comfortable at night.
There's no WiFi or access to plug sockets, but mobile signal is available. It's deliberately back-to-basics, without being uncomfortable.
Built for Social Weekends
A large communal fire pit sits at the centre of The Wildwood Retreat and quickly becomes the main social hub. There are also several BBQs for outdoor cooking, and plenty of open space to spread out during the day.
Hot showers, flushing toilets and solar lighting keep things practical while maintaining the off-grid feel.
Optional Extras, Hot Tub & Catering
You can add a range of optional extras to your stay, including a forest hot tub - ideal for recovery sessions or relaxed evenings. Veggie catering upgrades are also available, with breakfasts, lunches and hearty campfire suppers to keep the group fuelled without the admin.
On-Site Activities (Required Booking)
All groups are required to book activities from the on-site activity programme, which forms a key part of the experience and supports the resident instructors.
Available activities include:
- Archery
- Axe throwing
- Bushcraft experience
- Leather-bound journal making
