Overview
There are no two ways about it, go-karting is EPIC! It's the perfect stag activity, combining all the thrills of motor racing with all the best comedy banter from a group of (possibly sleep-deprived) guys, about to go wheel to wheel in a race for all the bragging rights. Suit up and prepare to jam those throttles down, it's race time!
As blokes, we all like to think we're a bit tasty behind the wheel, but now is your real chance to prove it once and for all and determine who is the Stag Stig and who is Captain Slow. But hold on to your helmets there, chaps. Here at StagWeb, we seek out the best high-powered karts about, and these bad boys are harder to command than you might think, especially when your backside is bouncing along just a few centimetres off the tarmac.
From London to Ljubljana, we've hand-picked the finest go-kart tracks across Europe and the UK, and that's no idle boast, we personally visit all our tracks to ensure they meet our high standards, guaranteeing that you get only the very best racing action.
The circuits, kart specs and events vary from track to track, so please check with our team for more details. Some tracks will have a bar/cafe and there may also be a podium presentation and/or race telemetry giving you a breakdown of the best laps and race times.
A go-karting stag do session is not only the perfect way to kickstart your big weekend with some competitive action, but it's also a great chance to separate the stags from the boys and get one over on the groom before his weekends are filled up with nappy changing and trips to IKEA. So become a stag legend and get your weekend off to a flyer with this epic activity.
FAQs
Can You Drink Before You Do Go-Karting?
No, you cannot drink before you go go-karting. If anyone in the stag group is deemed to be intoxicated, your session will be cancelled and no refund will be provided, so make sure to avoid the booze before you head over. Also, avoid an early start time if you're planning a big night out the day before!
Do You Need a Driving License To Go Karting?
No, you don't need a driving license to go karting and you also don't need to have any previous driving experience.
What To Wear To Go Karting?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes - nothing bulky. You will be provided with all the necessary safety equipment (helmet, gloves and sometimes protective overalls, balaclavas and racing suits). Jeans and a T-shirt is ideal.
How To Be Good At Go Karting?
At the beginning of your session, you will be given pointers by the instructors and a practice round or two - use them wisely to get a feel for the karts before the final race.
Is Go Karting Harder Than Driving?
Well, that depends - this is full-throttle racing action. Sunday Drivers might not be as good as those drivers who like to put their foots down, but there's only one way to find out… book it for the stag!
How Fast Do Go Karts Go?
It varies from track to track, but on average they will go as fast as 40 mph, and some will even reach speeds of 50 mph+! Obviously, not as quick as a car, but when you're sitting a couple of inches above the tarmac, it'll feel like a turbo-boosted rocket!
How Annoying Will The Groom Be If He Wins?
Very.
Shall We Let Him Win?
Absolutely not.
