Why Groups Rate This

Austria neighbours both Germany and the Czech Republic, so it's no surprise that Austria is home to some fantastic breweries. With this Innsbruck stag do Brewery Tour, you and the guys will go behind the scenes of one of the country's top breweries, discover the history of their beer, sample brews and pretzels and taste a 'Kellerbier' (German larger) straight from the source.

The Brauerei Mittenwald has been passed through five different generations, and over that time, they have perfected the taste of their fresh, quality brews. Their beer is produced following the Bavarian "Reinheitsgebot" method, using just water, barley and hops. See, it doesn't take much to make stag hoppy! They produce different types of beer using fresh mountain spring water, so you can truly taste Austria in each pint.

During your tour, you'll get the chance to taste the beer as you watch a short film that lets you into the secrets of their refined production process. Journey through past and present as you check out the historic brewhouse, workshop, old barrel storage and the modern bottling plant.

After uncovering the hidden mysteries behind their magnificent creations, you'll get the chance to experience the life of a brewer's apprentice. This is when all that yoga practise comes in handy! You'll actually climb into one of the large wooden storage barrels to get an insight into the work and effort that goes into cleaning each one!

Naturally, you can't gain a true appreciation for the bev without tasting one of their iconic brews straight from the source. Hidden in the fermentation and storage cellar, you'll find a very special beer: the Kellerbier, which translates to 'cellar beer'. Finish off your fascinating tour by tasting the cool, golden lager straight from the tank!
