Blob Jumping Valencia

Never take yourself too seriously is a good rule for life and hopefully it's one that the groom will embrace… ideally, before you and the rest of the boys send him flying through the air before splashing down into a Spanish lake. Welcome to blob jumping, never before has it been easier to turn an activity name into a series of hilarious insults about the groom.

It's your Valencia stag weekend, you and the boys have taken the groom off to Valencia to see the sights, enjoy a beer (or two) and generally have a muck about. And if you're looking to take the last one to the absolute extreme then blob jumping is the activity for you. If you're not familiar with it, how best to describe it? In short, one guy sits on a giant airbag while another dude jumps onto the other end sending the guy at the front sailing into the air and, when gravity has taken over, into the lake this Dr Seuss-esque contraption floats on. Is the groom not flying high enough for your liking? Simply throw more bodies on the other end and watch him go.

When you arrive at the lake in the Embalse de Contreras national park you'll be given a helmet, life jacket and a wetsuit as well as a safety briefing. Then you'll take to the airbag and enjoy the view as you fly through the air and laugh yourself hoarse as the groom learns to fly. You'll take it in turns to be the launcher and… launchee. The lake offers awesome views of the nearby mountains, the perfect backdrop to what will surely end up as a clip-on Youtube. Just make sure you change into your swimming gear before you set off because, this being a national park, there are no changing facilities nearby.

So give you and the boys (and the groom) a day you'll never forget. A truly humbling day where you'll experience the miracle of human flight before experiencing the miracle of gravity. What more could a groom want?
