Get your Edinburgh stag do off with a swing as you get competitive at once of Scotland's oldest sporting sites. If the groom is a keen golfer, then he'll love stepping into this real piece of golfing history.

The Golf Tavern can trace it's roots back to the 1700s (that's even older than Peter Alliss) and sits close to the famous Arthur's Seat and on the edge of the ancient Bruntsfield. This short hole (Par 3) golf course offers golfers another piece of golfing heritage. The course offers 36 holes in total (which can be arranged) but to keep things easy our basic package starts with just 9 holes.

There aren't many times you'll get a chance to play on such hallowed ground, walking on a links course that was played back in the days when the game was still being developed, this really is true golf for proper fans. It's also excellent sporting action for guys who love the game.

You'll start with a round of golf, then it's back to the pub where a table and your grub will be waiting. You'll also get some drinks to toast the groom.
