Exeter Nightlife
City Centre
Exeter isn't a massive city, so the nightlife is easy to find. Head to the High Street and the streets in and around the cathedral for the best nights out.
Quayside
A short walk down to the Quayside is a must on summer evenings as you can relax with a pint on pub benches in the sun.
Things to See in Exeter
Sandy Park
Rugby fans can try and get tickets to watch the one-time European Rugby Champions Cup Winners, Exeter Chiefs, in action.
St James Park
Not to be confused with Newcastle United's ground (that would be a hell of a commute from Exeter), this is also the name of Exeter City FC's ground.

Exeter FAQs
Is Exeter Good for a Stag Do?
Exeter is a great place for a stag do. Whether you're looking for a low-key weekend or a full-blown party atmosphere, we have a range of stag do activities to suit all groups. There's also a great concentration of pubs, so you won't be short of places to grab a local cider on your weekend.
Can you explore Exeter in one weekend?
A weekend is definitely enough time to explore all the sights, sounds and tasty pints of Exeter! It's not a massive city in terms of size, so you'll be able to cover the best bits during your stay. From the city centre to the bars on the Quay, you won't be short of things to do.
Does Exeter have a beach?
Exeter doesn't have a beach, but there are plenty located under an hour away if you want to relax in the sun. Exmouth Beach is just over 30 minutes away, whilst the aptly named Beer Beach is less than 50 minutes away (traffic dependent).
When does the party season start in Exeter?
Exeter is great all year round. For stags heading there with us in 2024, 66% are set to go between March and May. Why? Well, the weather is starting to warm up by that time of year, plus it gives stags a bit of a buffer before the summer wedding season.
