Madrid Nightlife

Huertas

The bars in and around C. de las Huertas are a great place to bounce about on a night out. Just bang that street in your maps and go from there.

Mayor Plaza

Similarly, you can head to the Plaza, the city's main square, where you can explore all the streets in and around it. The bars on the square will charge a premium, so we'd suggest walking further out.

C. de la Cruz

Like Huertas, C. de la Cruz is a long road with side streets spiking off that are packed with all kinds of pubs, bars and clubs.

Things to See in Madrid

Bernabéu

Home to Real Madrid, the Bernabéu is a true bucket lister for any footy fans heading to the Spanish capital.

Metropolitano Stadium

Or, if you and the guys prefer an underdog, head to the Metropolitano to watch the mighty Atletico Madrid.

Royal Palace of Madrid

It's pretty central, so we'd definitely recommend a walk to the Palace - it's pretty damn impressive.

Gran Via

One of, if not the, most iconic streets in Madrid. A good place for a stroll and stag photo opp.

How to Get to Madrid...

Flights

Most major UK airports offer flights to Madrid (Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suarez Airport) but be sure to check as early as you can to avoid any hassle.

Getting from Madrid Airport to the city

Madrid Airport is located 20 kilometres away from the centre of the city and boasts both bus, train and metro links that can take you there.

According to Madrid International Airport, you can hop on a bus or the metro for €5, or catch a train for €2.60 and reach the city centre in about 35-45 minutes.

Taxis are also available, but negotiating public transport in a foreign country can be a pain.

Airport transfers, on the other hand, are convenient and will whisk you straight to your accommodation - let us know if you want us to arrange them on your Madrid stag enquiry.

Tips On Getting Around Madrid

Walking - The city is easy to navigate on foot and everything you want for a big night out can be found without having to squeeze 17 stags into a taxi.

Tram - Madrid has a superb network to get the stag from A (via a few bars) to B.

Travel Pass - If you're looking to head further afield, grab a travel pass which gives you unlimited access to the metro (underground trains), buses, trains and airport shuttle boss, over a set period of time, starting at just €10.
