StagWeb's Liverpool Destination Specialist

Liverpool destination specialist

Meet Luke, StagWeb's Liverpool Destination Specialist.

Luke has been sending stags to Liverpool since 2011 and is constantly refreshing our offerings to make sure we have the best on offer in the city.

If you want to put his knowledge to the test, give him a ring on 01225 474200 (Mon-Fri 08:30 - 17:30), and he'll be able to advise you on what's hot and what's not.

Luke's Top Tip for Liverpool

"If you plan it right, you can sort it so everything is within walking distance, so you can save a load of money on taxis and put it towards the beer funds."

"We have central apartments, activities and nightlife options that tick all the boxes, so get in touch and I can point you in the right direction."

🍺 Luke's Night Out Top Tip

"You can't go wrong with Concert Square to start with, which has a range of bars and pubs that will welcome you in with open arms."

"Then it's definitely worth taking a stroll to Mathew Street which has a load of live music venues, including the famous Cavern Club that was made famous by The Beatles."

The Best Time to Go

Last year, 69% of stags who went to Liverpool with StagWeb went there between April and July.

Whilst Liverpool is a belting city all year round, April-July is the perfect time to head there before the summer weddings hit.

It's also the best time weather-wise, so you can enjoy a few beer garden pints as well as some of our better outdoor activities.

How Long Do People Go For?

To get the full Liverpool experience, you need to go there for at least 2 nights, which is what 76% of groups who partied with us last year did.

That might mean booking that Friday off work or going over a Bank Holiday weekend, but you definitely need at least a few days to take on some of the activities and check out what the nightlife has to offer.

How Soon Do People Book?

Guys going to Liverpool in 2023 booked 4 months in advance (126 days on average) which was bang on the average according to our end-of-year stats.

Liverpool is popular with both stags and hens, so we wouldn't risk booking any later than that, otherwise, you're likely to miss out on the best accommodation options and activity timeslots.

Where to Stay in Liverpool

Liverpool is unique in that most of the stag-friendly options are apartments rather than hotels.

This is great, though, as you can have all the guys under one roof or spread out over a couple of apartments, rather than split across a load of hotel rooms.

More room to get together and toast the groom before you head to Concert Square to kickstart that night out.

Check out our full range of Liverpool stag accommodation and get it booked before another group beats you to it.

How to Get to Liverpool...

Discover how easy it is to get to Liverpool by...

Train - Liverpool Lime Street is the main station feeding Liverpool and is located centrally. Slightly confusingly, you might see Liverpool Central on a map, but this is for the underground Merseyrail trains.

Visit Trainline to book your train tickets.

Car - Liverpool is easily accessible by car and is fed by the M62, M53 and M58. Like most city centres, traffic can build up and there are a few one-way systems in place, so we'd advise keeping your Maps on until you reach your accommodation or the car park you're aiming for.

Visit Parkopedia for the nearest car parks in the city.

Plane - If any of you are flying in, John Lennon Airport is located just over 8 miles away and takes around 30 minutes in a taxi (traffic dependent).

For more info about arrivals and getting to and from the airport, visit the John Lennon Airport website.

Tips On Getting Around Liverpool

Walking - The centre of Liverpool is relatively compact, and you can easily get away with having a weekend in Liverpool and not having to use any taxis or public transport.

Bus - Liverpool has an extensive bus network, which offers an affordable and easy way to get around the city. Make sure you're clued up on the routes and maps you might need.

Taxis - ComCab are a pretty reliable taxi company who have been operating in the city since 1958. You can call them on 0151 298 2222, download the app or head to their website.
