The Places in Brighton You Need to Know About

West Street

Home to PRYZM, Popworld, Revolution, Walkabout and a load of street food joints, this is where Brighton's partiers flock for their big nights out.

Brighton Beachfront

If you go to the bottom of West Street and turn left along the A259, you'll find loads of clubs, bars and eateries waiting to welcome you in.

The Lanes

Cocktail joints, fancy bars, plus some cracking real ale pubs, The Lanes is a great place to come in the afternoon or early evening before the party cranks into gear.

Top 10 Brighton Pubs, Bars & Clubs

Revolution

Located on West Street, one of Brighton's busiest nightlife areas, Revs is a stag and hen party staple. It's gloriously unpretentious and you're bound to have a belting night out here.

Where: 77 West St, BN1 2RA

Horizon

Located down on the beachfront, Horizon is another club right in the heart of the action. They have ticketed events happening all the time, so it's good to check in advance, but Friday nights are a regular Afrobeats evening if that's your jam.

Where: 214 Kings Rd, BN1 1NB

PRYZM

This UK-wide nightclub chain is an elite night out. Think about it - they wouldn't be everywhere if they weren't popular! Expect the party to go through until 4 am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Where: Kingswest, West Street, BN1 2RE

Popworld

Some people may not want to admit it, but Popworld is a great night out. Who wouldn't want to throw some outrageous shapes to some cheesy nineties and noughties classics?

Where: 79 West St, BN1 2RA

The Plotting Parlour

If you're looking for some refined cocktails, the Plotting Parlour is your go-to place. This dimly lit speakeasy is ideal for some chilled drinks.

Where: 6 Steine St, Kemptown, BN2 1TE

The Joker

Supposedly, this place is one of Brighton's best pubs for food, so we reckon you guys should put those claims to the test.

Where: 2 Preston Rd, BN1 4QF

BrewDog

Great beer, good food, and plenty of space to fit you in, BrewDog is always a good shout on a stag do. These guys are dominating the UK craft beer scene and it's easy to see why!

Where: Hectors House, 52-54 Grand Parade, BN2 9QA

Sidewinder

A quirky pub with decent outdoor space, Sidewinder is high up on our list of favourite pubs in Brighton. They have a great snack selection plus some tasty beers to try.

Where: 5 St James's St, Kemptown, BN2 1PJ

The Grand Central

Located right by Brighton Train Station, you can pitch up here and wait for all the other guys to arrive. A cracking pub with a roof terrace and resident DJs.

Where: 29-30 Surrey St, BN1 3PA

Concorde 2 Nightclub

Said (by them) to be Brighton's number one live music venue - this place hosts plenty of gigs, plus a load of club nights.

Where: 286A Madeira Dr, BN2 1EN

The Best Time to Go

In 2023, the most popular time to go to Brighton for stags going with StagWeb was April or May (53%).

Why then?

Well, the weather's starting to warm up, the coastal activities are up and running, plus you avoid all the accommodation price hikes that come into effect around the school holidays.

If you can afford to go in May, June, or July, that's when you're going to get the best weather, but even the winter months are great fun if you're not looking to hit the beach or take on any watersport activities.

How Long Do People Go For?

The majority of stags (54%) going to Brighton in 2023 went there for 2 nights (3 days).

This is the perfect amount of time, in our eyes, as it gives you enough time to enjoy a few nights out, explore the city and take on a range of activities.

You can do more nights, but we definitely wouldn't recommend doing less (unless you live locally).

How Soon Do People Book?

Guys heading to Brighton in 2023 with StagWeb booked just under 5 months in advance.

It's pretty simple maths - the sooner you book, the less likely another group will beat you to your preferred choices.

Simple.

If you're heading to Brighton this year, we say to book at least five months in advance to secure your top choices.
