When you're in the south east of England, there's nowhere better for a stag weekend than Maidstone. It's got arguably the best nightlife in the whole of Kent, with a selection of sleek and cool bars and clubs all within a short distance of one another, letting the lads spill from one venue to another to keep the party going all night long. As with most English towns, Maidstone has a fantastic selection of pubs too, both locally owned and chain, for a cheeky lunch time pint or a few pre drinks before you hit the clubs. Throw in StagWeb's range of Maidstone stag night options, and you've got yourselves a party to remember!
There's nothing wrong with just spending the night on the dance floor or propped up by the bar… on pretty much any night other than the stag night. This is the biggest evening out of your best mates life, and he's entrusted it to you so you really, really want to come up with something better than just a round of shots and a karaoke session. If nothing else, all the boys will be seriously unimpressed, and very unlikely to trust you with such a high honour again. Here are three of the best ways to get a Maidstone stag night started:
Relaxed, laid back, but still with that competitive edge to keep the boys engaged, ten pin bowling is a hugely underrated stag activity. There's also plenty of downtime whilst the other lads take their turn, giving you time to get started on the beers.
Guaranteed to get the night off to a flying start, a night at the dogs is a brilliant start to a stag do. Lads of all ages and abilities can take part, placing their bets and topping up the kitty for the rest of the evening.
Once you've got the party atmosphere started, you'll next need to turn your thoughts to how to keep the buzz going between wherever you are and the clubs and let us tell you, nothing puts a dampener on the night quicker than hanging around at the bus stop. A limousine, however, has blasting party tunes and will let you and the boys rock up like the VIPs you are.
Although we're huge advocates of starting the night somewhere other than a bar, that doesn't mean we're not fans of you and the lads unleashing your sweet moves later on in the night. Or standing and kind of swaying rhythmically, whatever floats your boat. With our queue jump nightclub entry, your entrance in to Maidstone's stag nightlife is that much easier, skipping the queues, on the door fees, and arguing with the bouncer, and getting straight in to the nightclub. If you're less interested in dancing yourselves, and would rather watch someone else throw some moves, we can also arrange entry into Maidstone's top lap dancing club. Come on. It's your best mates last night of freedom. It's practically law.
Maidstone might be one of the biggest cities in Kent, but it's not exactly huge you and the lads will be able to find the best of the nightlife options generally concentrated in clumps, not spread out over a huge area. Trust us, after the first few pubs, you'll be grateful for it. The nightlife is thriving though Maidstone has a population of about 140,000 people, and sat right in the commuter belt, plenty of those are young professional with money burning a hole in their pocket, and demanding the sort of cool, pulsating nightlife that goes with it. Bank Street and the surrounding area is where you'll find most of the cooler bars, with both high end cocktail and shooter bars and chain favourites for getting in a few spirits and mixers or a pint. Along nearby Earl Street, there's more pubs if that's what you're looking for, going along on to Union Street. And when you're ready to hit the dance floor, Gabriel's Hill is the place, lined with some of Maidstone's biggest nightclubs.
Kent may not have the great food traditions of other areas of England… no Cornish pasties, no Mancunian curries, no Welsh… leeks? They are pretty much the hop growing area of Britain, but since hops are only delicious after they've been turned in to beer and not a moment before, we wouldn't recommend chowing down on a handful of those as a tasty meal with the boys. However, not to sound like your mum but you do need to grab something to line your stomach before heading off on a big night out. A dinner cruise gives you and the lads a chance to sit down over a fantastic meal, catch up with the day so far, and admire the views from the Medway with a drink in hand. The perfect way to relax after an active day, and rest before you get on with the rest of the night.
